The basic protection of your computer is made up of three key components that simply need to be installed before connecting to the Internet:

1. Activated firewall

A firewall prevents access to your computer’s services that are not intended for public use. Windows 7, Vista, and XP already contain such a bulkhead, so do not turn it off (see the instructions on Microsoft sites). For other versions of the Windows operating system, there are several free programs available:

2. Updated antivirus program

3. Regular updating

You must constantly worry about updating your operating system, your browser, and any installed programs, as you fix security holes by fixing them to reduce the risk of abuse of your computer.

All newer operating systems have built-in auto-update components. To browse the web, you use both an updated web browser and all of its components, for example, PDF display, Flash, QuickTime, RealPlayer, VLC players, Java, etc. Always install appropriate updates from the official website of the provider.

]]> Intel recently admitted that their Specter vulnerability correction was even worse than the vulnerability that should have been tackled with it, as it could cause an automatic restart of the computer. Fortunately, users of PCs with preinstalled Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 operating systems have come to the aid of Microsoft.

The new Windows fix actually disables Intel’s Specter vulnerability solution, which means that the PC will no longer be automatically launched, while at the same time operating system users will be slightly more protected against dangerous vulnerabilities.

 

The new Microsoft Security Correction for Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems will not be installed automatically, which means that we have to do this manually. The download can be downloaded at http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4078130 for download, and Microsoft has categorized it as critical security patches.

Because Specter vulnerability actually threatens the privacy of your data, we recommend installing the above fix, which is especially true in case you have previously installed the Intel patch and you are having trouble restarting the system.

 

Vulnerability Spectra effectively breaks the crucial and fundamental isolation between different applications. This actually allows an attacker to overwhelm a well-protected program to share confidential information.

More than software follows good programming practices it is more vulnerable to attack Specter. This vulnerability is more difficult to abuse than Meltdown, but on the other hand, it is much more difficult to eliminate. Fortunately, this vulnerability can be resolved by installing fixes for the operating system.
